AEDP OUT of the Box with Annika Medbo and Judy Silberstein Saturday, June 27, 2020
Join AEDP Rocky Mountain in welcoming Annika Medbo and Judy Silberstein for a day of deepening your AEDP practice.
Annika and Judy are two therapists from different countries and different cultures, brought together by their shared language …AEDP...and shared conviction that the body becomes a powerful vehicle that allows for therapist creativity and for clients to heal. This receptive way of knowing can bypass resistance and offers a bodily based welcome to the other that can touch the inner core of the client’s subjective self.
What you will see on videotape: A man who survived emotionally through music, a 70 year-old awakening to her long forgotten 4 year-old self, a woman who finds her fetus barely alive in a snow bank, and a client transforming her intergenerational body-based trauma.
Through a series of experiential exercises we will explore our perceptions, sensations and emotions and the power of what can happen when we are fully present with each other.
We will build our capacity to be a receiver of the client’s silent, affective communication and resonate with the inner world of the other within our own heart and body.
We will develop our sense of being a transformational other; allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and be impacted by the other to deepen relational security.
